Aftercare for malignant diseases
The follow-up of mammary carcinoma is performed according to the S 3 guidelines of the Cancer Society.
In the first 3 years after completion of the primary therapy, the doctor's consultation and the symptom-oriented physical examination take place every 3 months, thereafter until the 5th year every 6 months.
In the case of breast conserving therapy, every 12 months a mammography and a mamma sonography are performed on both sides.
After the 6th year, these examinations are carried out every 12 months.
These are recommendations which, of course, are adapted to individual needs. Our aim is the physical and also psychological recovery while preserving the quality of life.
